A Special Evening

A few weeks back my wife and I celebrated the birthday of a good friend.  It was a celebration for his 60th birthday!  He’s been a long time friend so it was nice to have a nice dinner with his friends and family.  We had dinner in the Red Room at the Barolo Grill,  North Cherry Creek.  The private room we ate in was actually one of their working wine cellars.  It was an intimate room great for conversation, complementing fantastic food and wine.  If you are ever looking for a great meal, Barolo Grill has some fantastic Northern Italian cuisine.  The staff at Barolo travels to Italy every year to learn and taste the food and wine of the Northern regions of Italy.  I highly recommend the braised duck.

I had my camera with during the dinner to take a few photos of my friends and during the night just captured a few details of the evening.  The photos just serve as special memento from a wonderful evening of celebration.  I thought I would share a couple of those mementos with you today.

  • Love that shot of the wine rack…perfect DOF, and the bokeh is awesome! Sounds like a pretty great night.

  • Sounds like a swell time!
Great shot of the racked wines. I’ll have a Merlot by the way. 🙂

Both of the images are great for showing the mood and atmosphere of the evening.

  • Thanks for the comments!

  • The first shot of the wine rack is perfect!

  • Love the perspective of the wine rack Rick. Great focus. You have a great website – lots of great photos.
