Down the Bend – Sunrise at Oxbow Bend

Ok I’m tired of the snow now.  I think I’m officially ready for Spring and Summer! January has brought more snow again here to Colorado and I know the Eastern states are getting hit with snow and cold as well.  I hope everyone stays safe and warm.

I thought I’d warm you up a little today and dig in my archives for an image I had never processed.  This is from 2011 and it’s a sunrise from Oxbow Bend in Grand Teton National Park.  What an amazing morning as the sun filled the clouds in the sky with warm colors and created this perfect reflection off of the Snake River. This definitely has me wanting to head back to Wyoming again, but definitely waiting until it warms up.

Have a great week everyone!

Rick, this blows me away! How incredibly beautiful! I love the reflections here, but I also love how you discover those majestic mountains there in the backdrop like that. GREAT composition and a truly terrific shot!
