Bow Bridge Central Park

One of my favorite places to visit whenever I go to New York is Central Park.  It is such an oasis within the city.  There are many bridges that go over the different parts of the lake. Bow Bridge Central Park is the first cast iron bridge in the park and the 2nd oldest in the country.  Bow Bridge is one of  New York’s most romantic setting for lovers and most definitely very photogenic. You might recognize it from its starring role in many movies, television shows, and commercials.  You may have seen it in such movies as When in Rome, Made of Honor, Spiderman 3, Night at the Museum, and Autumn in New York.

I captured this image just as the fall colors were starting to break in the park.  It was quite beautiful offset by the rich fall colors.

Excellent image Rick. People who have never been to NYC don’t realize how big and lovely Central Park is. Very nicely captured.

  • Lovely colors – need to see this some day for myself! Well done Rick!

    Color explosion!

  • Wonderful color explosion. Love the muted colors of the reflections in the water – they don’t distract from the main color burst but add a nice repeat to the theme.

Very, nice, gotta get back there

  • Very cool.
