Last month I attended a wedding of a friend of mine. I wasn’t the photographer at the event, nor did I want to be. I just wanted to enjoy the wedding and so I took along my camera so I could take a few pictures for my wife who couldn’t attend. I didn’t want to be “that guy”, with the full huge setup, telephoto lens and all, especially since I wasn’t the photographer, so I just put on the 50mm prime, took off my batter drive and went “small” to the event. I needed the practice with the 50mm prime anyway so this gave me the challenge to frame shots conducive to the prime lens. This was one of the shots I captured. The wedding couple so happy after they just said the vows to each other. Everyone was blowing bubbles as the couple walked from the ceremony stage toward their horse-drawn cart. The scene was beautiful and so hopefully I’ve captured it here in this shot.
This picture was taken at the Della Terra Mountain Chateau in Estes Park, Colorado. If you are thinking about having a wedding, this is a great setting for the wedding. Congratulations to Will and Amy and may you have a long life of happiness together!
I’m in the Tetons this week hoping to bring you some fabulous photos when I return. Have a great weekend everyone!
