Antelope Slot Canyon – Canyon Waves

I thought this week would be a good week to share some more images from Upper Antelope Slot Canyon. It’s amazing how much there was to capture in a small slot canyon. I can’t wait to get back down there to explore more of the area.

Exploring the slot canyon, you have to really let your mind wander. When I first entered Antelope Slot canyon I had a hard time finding the right scene to capture and my “mojo” wasn’t really in sync. Sometimes you have to let your mind wander and really absorb the textures and light and look at formations in different angles. This one came to me as I looked straight over head and then spun around 180 degrees before I saw these magical waves in the canyon walls above. The light streaming in created these beautiful textures accentuating the waves like formations.

  • Awesome perspective! Definitely gives the effect of waves in the rocks! Really well done!

  • That’s really incredible. I would imagine the exposure in there is rather tricky.

  • I love the texture, lines, and color fade this image provides!

  • I can image that your mind must be totally overwhelmed when you first arrive at such an amazing place. Kudos to you for being able to overcome this and bring us such a magnificent image.

  • Damn I like this, take me there!!
