There is something magical about the pastels I’ve seen in the desert southwest at sunset. This image was captured just outside of Wahweap Bay on Lake Powell. The canyon walls surrounding Lake Powell show the many layers of rock from the volcanic activity and form buttes and walls in the Glen Canyon Recreation area that created the contrasts against this pastel sunset.
