My favorite time of the year in Downtown Denver is during the Holiday season. The buildings and the 16th Street Mall are decorated and it’s always very festive downtown. I thought today I’d share with you a few images from the Denver’s City and County Building and from Union Station. They are always decorated so nicely and have a wonderful event for the initial lighting of the buildings for the Holidays. These images are fairly recent, but tomorrow I’m going to reintroduce one of my favorite holiday photos. I have it in my galleries, but I haven’t shared it since starting my blog.
If you are interested, here is a video of the lighting ceremony that occurs every evening at the Denver City and County Building. It’s quite a show with the lights of the building choreographed to the holiday music. This video is not professional quality, but will give you a look at the festive event.
