Colorado Balloon Classic

Every year over the Labor Day Holiday weekend in Colorado Springs the Colorado Balloon Classic takes place.  The balloon festival was started in 1977 and now is the longest running balloon festival in the Rocky Mountain Region.  It’s always a treat to see so many balloons in one place fly above Colorado Springs.  Last year I shared with you an early morning ascent, but this year I’ll share with you the evening balloon glow.  All the balloons come in the evening and as the sky gets dark they fill their balloons up with warm gas and the Balloons light up the night at Memorial Park.  It’s really a treat to see the balloon glow and fun for the whole family!
