I’ve always wanted to capture an amusement ride at night so with the county fair going on there are always fair rides in full swing. Unlike many of the amusement parks the fair doesn’t frown upon the use of cameras so I was able to setup with my tripod and wait for the sun to go down. The Power ride looked like the perfect ride to capture at night with a long exposure. The Tilt-a-Whirl also happened to be going in full swing at the same time. Here’s a night at the county fair!
- This image was taken shortly after sunset so the night sky wasn’t completely dark. I lowered my ISO as low as possible and increased my aperture to f/22 in order to reduce the light enough to produce a long exposure that would allow the ride to create enough light trails.
