Fall at the Thomas Moulton Barn

I was noticing that the fall colors are starting to appear here in Colorado.  They days are getting shorter and evenings are getting cooler.  I was looking back over some of last years fall images and came across one here at the Thomas Moulton Barn that I had not yet processed.  The morning sunlight gives off a warm glow to the patina finish on the Thomas Moulton Barn and just seemed to match the fall golden grass around the barn and in the fields surrounding the barn.  There is a warm rustic glow to the scene.

I keep hoping I can get a long weekend to head up to Grand Teton National Park this year, but I just haven’t been able to free up that weekend so far. Maybe a winter trip is in store this year.

  • You’ve captured the look of fall very well. The composition and colors are outstanding. Well done!!

  • Terrific shot. This must be the most-photographed barn in the US. Bummed I didn’t think to look for it when I was there.

  • Wonderful warm colours. That’s a superb horizon, that I recall from some others of your shots, but it’s one I never tire of looking at. A superb backdrop to this shot.

  • Rick well done. Nice Fall shot. Looking forward to it cooling off on the east coast.

  • Wonderful contrast of warm and cool colors Rick. The shadow in the foreground really kicks against the bright blue sky.

  • This is just so absolutely lovely, Rick, great tones and colors here that reveal the fabulous details in the barn!
