Lake Louise Exposed

Happy Thanksgiving to my U.S. followers! I have a lot of things to be thankful for this year and one is the tremendous friendship I’ve gained through this community through my blog and various social networks. Thank you for following me and allowing me to be a part of your week. I’m grateful that you allow me to share and for your feedback and interaction.

One of my first things I learned how to do was to take long exposures at night. I still love to take long exposures and during the course of this year I’ve had the opportunity to pay it forward and teach what I know to other photographers. I think that has been the most special to me is to see other photographers light up when they finally get the concept of long exposure photography and see spectacular images that are possible when you leave the shutter open for longer than a split second.

Today I leave you with a long exposure of Lake Louise. I call it Lake Louise Exposed.  You can’t see much of Lake Louise after dark, but this long exposure shows the true beauty that lies in the darkness.

This is gorgeous, Rick. So many good memories from that night.

  • This is one of my favorite places on earth. I have NEVER seen it at night before, my friend!! Great work, to say the very least!
