Little Pink Flowers

I thought I would start this week with a couple of final pictures from Banff.  Today’s image is of some little pink flowers that I saw walking around Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park.  There was quite a bit of local wild flowers and these pink beauties struck my eye. If anyone knows what they are called, please let me know.  They remind me of Forget Me Nots. Tomorrow I’ll finish out with a final picture from Emerald Lake.

I decided I needed to head out on the open road again, so unless the weather takes a drastic change I’ve headed toward Green River, Utah.  Green River, Utah is just west of Moab and Canyonlands National Park.  I’ve heard the Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep are mating this time of year so I’m hoping to catch a glimpse of these magnificent animals and hopefully see a couple of males butting heads.  Who knows where else I’ll end up along the way.  Tune into my Twitter or Google+ feed to catch a glimpse of some behind the scenes action.

  1. I like the narrow depth of field on the pink flowers – works really well. And as for the Sunflowers for July 12 – that is totally brilliant – That is the best shot of an iconic summer crop that I have seen. Well done, Rick

  2. Nice shot Rick. It immediately puts me in a good mood 🙂 Cool calandar as well! I would like to do one. I just finished a photobook of Italy and am awaiting its arrival.
