I went camping last week in the Crested Butte and San Juan Mountain area of Colorado. The state has been very dry so there wasn’t the wild flower growth I had hoped for during this trip. I still have quite a few images to process and will share some with you shortly. This past weekend I was out at the race track with the local Porsche Club shooting images for their Drivers Event and so this past week has been filled with picture-taking, but not much time to do actual processing.
On the way back from the track I did come across this lone tree in a wheat field that caught my eye. I always enjoy the drive back from the track because it takes me through rural Colorado and there is always some slice of Americana waiting to be captured.
The farmland is starting to take fruit and so it won’t be long before harvest starts here in Colorado. The wheat fields are starting to get long and creates for awesome fields of gold across the plains. It’s my little slice of Americana for you today.
