Macro Monday: The Aspen Leaf

It’s a Macro Monday!  I thought this week I’d take you inside a stand of aspen and give you a little more detail look at the aspen trees and give you some more fall colors.  Today’s image comes from Grand Teton National Park.  There was a stand of aspen just below Buffalo Fork Ridge that was just amazing.  I was about a week to week and 1/2 too early in Grand Teton National Park for the fall colors, but during the week certain areas had started to turn already so I took advantage of those sites to capture some of the fall foliage.

Today’s macro is the aspen leaf.  It’s that shimmering amber and gold that makes the light sparkle as it flutters in the wind.  I found this gold leaf with veins of yellow and freckled with shades of greens and amber.  I couldn’t pass it up.

Have a great week everyone!
