It’s Friday! I’m ready for the weekend! I thought today I’d leave you with a nice sunrise for the week. Today’s image comes from Canyonlands National Park. This image is Mesa Arch. This is one you want to get up early for and it’s just a spectacular view from Mesa Arch at sunrise. It’s an easy hike of 0.6 miles from the parking lot, but be sure to bring a flashlight or headlamp if you are hiking here before the sunrise. In the winter months you definitely want to dress warm. The sunrise light just warms up Mesa Arch and gives it a spectacular orange glow. I liked this vantage point so you can see more of the textures and pillars of the canyon below and the mountain range in the distance.
This was a crazy week! I was supposed to be in New York this week, but plans changed and ended up in Monterey, California. I didn’t get much time there, but was able to capture a nice sunrise and sunset. I’ll be sharing that with you soon.
