Pami & Peter

This post is a change of pace for my followers.  I have had the opportunity to do some portraits for the holidays, but I thought the most special gift of all for the holidays would be to have a baby.  Pami and Peter are having their first baby together and so Pami asked me to capture her before the gift of life came, which is actually supposed to be this week. Maybe by the time this post comes out there maybe a new life in the world.

It’s definitely a challenge for me to break away from my landscape photography and to try to convey how that special time in a couple’s life when you are having your first child. I had to reflect back to when I was having kids and try to bring those feelings to images for Pami and Peter. Looking back, I wish that a photographer could have captured this special time in my life for me to remember.

Photographers, I’m not going to post my capture information on this post today, but if you have any questions about off camera lighting or settings send me an email.

Pami and Peter congratulations on your upcoming addition and I look forward to capturing your new precious little one in the upcoming weeks. It’s been a pleasure working with you two. Here’s a few of my favorites from the shoot.

  • Very nice images Rick. Like the way you used the window light in these.

  • Outstanding images here man! The last shot is my favorite!

  • Fantastic shots Rick! I really like that last shot.

  • The colour image is very unusual but has an extraordinary intimacy. The red glow is so symbolic too. Great piece of work, Rick

  • These are very special Rick. You’ve captured this special time in their lives beautifully.
