Friday night’s plans for a high-rise balcony shoot of the Coors Field fireworks fell through so this weekend just didn’t feel quite finished. On a whim, I looked through the listings for Fireworks on July 4 here in the Denver area and I noticed that Elitch Gardens Amusement park was putting on a fireworks display. I piled the family into the “family truckster” and headed down to my favorite spot to capture the Denver Skyline. It would be a good vantage point for fireworks coming from Elitch’s and the city in the background. We arrived at the vantage point about an 90 minutes before the fireworks started which ended up being a good plan. When 10pm rolled around there wasn’t much space left to view. It’s the busiest I’ve ever seen this vantage point before. It was a great fireworks show! I was able to capture it on my iPhone through video and I’ll post that on my Facebook page sometime in the future.
