Shark's Teeth

Can you believe March is here? Spring is just around the corner. It was sunny and warm here yesterday and I was able to drive with the car windows down. It was nice not having to wear a jacket and not have the heater on in the car. The saying goes though, March comes in like a Lion and the forecast calls for snow today and stay with us though Saturday.

I thought today I’d bring you a summer image from the Grand Tetons. There is something awe striking about the Teton Mountain range that makes it so powerful to see. Here in Colorado we have many 14,000 Ft. peaks and they are very beautiful, but when you see the Teton Mountain Range, they shoot straight up from the valley floor, different from the gradual slope of most mountains here in Colorado. The looks like a row of shark’s teeth with their sharp jagged edge like peaks.  I captured this image by Jenny Lake Lodge last summer. It was jaw dropping view!

  1. I’ve loved your images from the Tetons over the last few months. These are real mountains – sharp and toothy. Well composed. Nice work.
