Sunrise at Mesa Arch

I thought today I’d bring you back to Utah and Canyonlands National Park for a sunrise at Mesa Arch. I’ve processed a previous image from Mesa Arch, but this image gives you a little different angle on the famous landmark. Hopefully I’ll get back to the Moab area again this fall.  There are so many other places I want to see in Arches and Canyonlands National Parks.

I lost my main drive this weekend.  I’m not happy about it, but should have taken measures sooner to replace a failing solution. I have backups so luckily with some hours this week, my new storage solution will be in place and up and running. I’m also taking this opportunity to finally do a full cut over from Aperture to Lightroom 4. I’m hoping by next week I’ll be fully up and running. I have too many client shoots coming up for me to be down any longer than this week. Anyway my posts maybe limited this week, but I’ll do my best to get out a couple more posts this week.

Have a great Monday!

  • This is a great series. Awesome sot.

  • Adsolutely stunning shot Rick. Sorry to hear about the drive.

  • A different view from the iconic one Rick and I really like it. The sun burst and how the it lights up the surrounding rocks is killer. Sorry to hear about your hard drive. I just had mine go and fortunately when I tried to install Mountain Lion on my iMac, it warned me it was going so I was able to get all current data off. Welcome to LR . You will love it.

  • This is one of your best Rick, just stunning work man! Sorry to hear about the HD too…you’ll be impressed with LR4!

  • Friggin killer shot Rick! This is why I want to learn how to shoot landscapes better.

  • Bummer on that lost drive, man.

But on the bright side, this image is totally awesome. What a great shot, Rick.

  • Just beautiful.

  • Simply beautiful Rick! Well done!

  • That is as good as it gets!
