Lunar Eclipse

Last weekend there was a full lunar eclipse. Not all parts of the country were able to witness the event and from images that I saw those in the San Francisco area were able to have a spectacular view of the event. Here in Denver we just were able to witness part of the eclipse. The moon went behind the mountains before the moon started to turn orange. I was able to capture a few shots from Sloan’s Lake here in Denver. Sloan’s Lake is Denver largest body of water within the city limits. Thanks to Armando Martinez of  Pixel Training for suggesting the location and good conversation.

I thought today I’d leave you with an image of the partial eclipse just before it went down behind the mountain. The moon was bright enough to cast a reflection over the frozen lake in this blue hour image on this cold winter morning here in Denver.

Have a great weekend!
