I’m starting my Fall Tour today and heading back down to my favorite area in the state, Telluride, Colorado. It’s a small ski town surrounded by the most beautiful terrain in the state and some of the most amazing ranch land. The town is never very crowded, probably because it’s 6-7 hours from Denver and tucked in a small box canyon. There is a local airport, but fares tend to be high and other regional airports are 2-2.5 hours away, but I believe it’s worth the journey. No Pain, No Gain.
This town is very dog friendly and walking around there is always a friendly face waiting to great you.
If you ever head down be sure to visit some of my favorite places, such as the Steaming Bean which has some of the best coffee in town and at night will entertain you with live bands as well.
For Lunch or Dinner head over to the best Pizza in Town, Brown Dog Pizza or possibly over the Floadora Saloon for some amazing food and live entertainment while you eat.
And if you are looking for entertainment, head over to the Sheridan Opera House for a show to top off your day.
Of course there is fantastic skiing in Telluride. There is a free gondola that will take you from the historic downtown up to the ski village and runs ever day from 7am to midnight,
but in the spring, summer and fall months be sure to come down and view the surrounding scenery that is Colorado. I’m off to do some fall shooting here in Telluride and then off to Acadia National Park to experience some fall in the Eastern part of the country. My blog posts will be light but stay tuned for some posts when I get back. In the mean time be sure to follow me on Twitter and Instagram for updates from my trip. Have a great fall season!
