Telluride’s Bridal Veil Falls powers down over the box canyon above Telluride, Colorado. The house and power plant sit on top of this two prong waterfall (though you can only see one prong this time of year) and operates the 2nd oldest AC generator in the country. The oldest is in nearby Ophir, Colorado. The falls is 365 ft. tall and sits above 10, 279 ft above sea level.
It’s an awesome site and can be seen for miles and is prominent as you enter into the box canyon behind Telluride, CO. The wildflowers were still prominent along the streams below leading up to the waterfall as seen in this image. Hopefully this gives you a perspective of how high it sits above the trail leading up to the falls.
