Teton Sagebrush

It just felt like a good day to share an image of the warmth of a summer morning in the Grand Tetons.  Here’s a little different take on the Grand Teton Mountain.  I used Grand Teton in this picture as more of a background element and made the sagebrush the main subject.  If you have ever hiked around the open fields, there is plenty of sage.  My skin experienced quite a bit of it this past year as I walked through the fields in my shorts.  When you get right down to look at the brush, it’s quite beautiful with the silvery green color.  So here’s a closeup look at the sagebrush plant in Grand Teton National Park.  Stay warm, everyone!

  • Nice use of focus Rick. No matter whether the Tetons are in focus or not, they are outstanding

  • Awesome shot Rick. Love having the foreground in focus and the Tetons out of focus. Well done!

  • A really terrific shot here, Rick! The focusing on this adds more depth. Sweet shot, man.

  • That’s a wonderful shot man. Background gives context to it all. Love it.

  • Great image Rick. Love the way you’ve focused on the foreground.
