The Fence Post

Sometimes you just have to look at the details around you.  I was taking pictures of the hay bales outside of Calgary and just as I was about ready to leave my roadside location, I noticed this fabulous fence line and some deep rich colors and foliage down around the base of the fence post.  The deep reds, purples complementing the rusted barbed wire just made for interesting foreground to this particular fence post.  Sometimes the best shot is just below you, next to you or behind you.  Don’t forget to take in the whole scene and enjoy God’s beautiful creation!

  • That is a nice composition Rick and the subtle colors do play off of each other nicely.

  • Awesome shot! I agree with Curt, this is a very nice composition. Really like the focus on this as the fence line fades into the distance.
