The Morning Commute

I had the opportunity to see cowboys and cowgirls at the Triangle X Guest Ranch round-up horses one morning and bring the horses from the open pasture up to the ranch so they could saddle up the horses to give to guests to ride.  It was quite an event with close to 50 horses running across the road early in the morning.  I captured this scene in one of my shots, the lone cowboy following the herd and thought what a nice commute this would be for going to work.  This is the all-american scene, a cowboy on his horse riding to work with the open range and the mountains as a backdrop!  The Marlboro Man come to life again and making his living riding on a horse.

  • I bet they never have to deal with crappy traffic jams or terrible smog! Lovely image.

  • What a great title. I wish this was my morning commute.

  • Agreed with Justin up above, great title. That background is what I want to have on my morning commute to work.
